In the exciting sleuth murder mystery, Lethal Tide: Aloha Lagoon Mysteries Book 10, Samantha must solve a murder to exonerate her boyfriend, Casey. When Ryan, a friend from Casey's past, comes to the island to hunt for hidden treasure, Casey isn't pleased about renewing their acquaintance. The long-lost treasure is rumored to be buried near Aloha Lagoon, and Ryan has come to recover it. Samantha isn't happy when Casey's ex-fiancee, Veronica, joins Ryan. Casey is a favorite with the ladies at the resort and enjoys flirting with them. Suddenly, Samantha is starting to feel insecure. Not only is Veronica staking a claim on Casey, but also one of the bar's regulars has her designs on him. Things don't get any better when Samantha and Casey stumble upon Ryan's body. Because of his history with the deceased, Casey is the number one suspect. Despite not knowing Casey's past, Samantha believes in his innocence. She and her best friend, Alani, must root out the killer before it is too late for Casey.
Lethal Tide is the entertaining sequel in a brilliant sleuth series by Beth Prentice. Set on the breathtaking island of Kauai, the story is filled with intriguing scenes and engaging characters. It has a stimulating plot which keeps the reader guessing until its conclusion. The protagonist, Samantha, is a character with substance and initiative. She is an average young woman with ordinary flaws and insecurities, which make her likable and easy to relate to. Rife with confusion, conflict, a love triangle, and a puzzling mystery, this is an enjoyable novel that will delight those who love to spend time with a cozy mystery. Even if you have never read about any of Samantha's other adventures, this book can stand on its own, and you will never find yourself lost. It is a splendid murder mystery that will thrill amateur sleuth readers of any age.
