Kingdom of Abel - Song of the Silent (Volume 2) by Gume Laurel III picks up from where Book #1 left off. It has been a month since the members of the Kingdom of Abel set out in search of the weapon that will save their homeland from an ancient beast threatening their safety. Their journey sees them interacting with different types of people, some of them become friends and some enemies. Their journey is long and in their absence another force prepares to take the crown. King Seth is in a dilemma, wondering if he should take Oliver's offer of having him as a ransom to protect his homeland. Or will they meet over a battle to settle the issue?
Like the first book, the second book is also compelling and the spiritual vibe in the theme gives a nice effect. It is also tells readers about hope and how even during their darkest hour they have the opportunity to fulfill their dreams. The positive message that great things can be achieved if one has determination is uplifting. All the characters in the story, Elijah, Micah, Aaron, Jeremiah and many more, have been portrayed well, making the story what it is. The hope and the anticipation in the plot keeps readers hooked on the story. On the whole, the book will not disappoint readers and they will definitely want to read the next book to learn more about Elijah.
