The Kabbalah of Life is a work of non-fiction in the self-help, introspective, and social issues subgenres and was penned by author Rabbi Yakov Saacks. Subtitled ‘A much deeper look into our surroundings’, this poignant expanded work takes a critical look at the modern world and the way we choose to live and find our place within it right now, covering such broad topics as mental health, parenting, the current global pandemic, and more racial social issues such as the teaching of the Holocaust and advice to combat racism and anti-Semitism. Rabbi Saacks has collected his musings and articles based on those which he writes for his own community and can be extended as an encouragement to others to behave and perceive in a more godly fashion.
Author Rabbi Yakov Saacks has crafted a heartfelt, honest, and well-organized work of collected essays with plenty of wisdom, godliness, and sage advice to offer readers. Saacks writes with a gentle determination to educate and inspire, which gives the narrative of each section a sense of quiet confidence that you can always rely on. In terms of organization, the work was well-formatted to convey information in a logical manner and allow easy reference to find essential topics again, and I found the broad spread of different ideas to be positive and proactive in their approach. Overall, I would highly recommend The Kabbalah of Life to anyone from any faith or denomination who might be seeking clarity, guidance, and a better way to move forward in their thinking as we go through these tough times in the modern world.
