In Joaquin Around The Office: A Doggy Adventure by Julie Dugan and Joaquin The Dog, Joaquin tells of his fun and exciting day at his mom's office. Joaquin is pronounced Wah-Keen. Joaquin spends most of his days taking naps and waiting for his mom to return home after work. However, one day, Mom tells Joaquin that he is going to work with her and that he will be an office dog. On that day, Joaquin picks a special and professional outfit, which includes a black tie. Although Joaquin takes his job very seriously, he has tons of fun in the office as well, including writing a memo to his co-workers that states Joaquin is a very good boy and so all the treats must go to him.
Featuring cute, eye-catching illustrations along with photographs of Joaquin at the office, dressed in his black tie, Joaquin Around The Office is a short children's story with an emphasis on humor and fun. The photographs feature Joaquin The Dog in an actual office setting, including Joaquin with his paws on a photocopier, Joaquin at a water station, and Joaquin at the head of a boardroom table. The writing is smart and witty and is, in that sense, a fun read for adults, yet it is very playful and perfect for young children. Julie Dugan and Joaquin The Dog have created a humorous and exciting book that will appeal to children's sense of adventure and will be delightful for parents to read as well.
