Bling for the King by Delia Latham follows Rina Peretti, who had a past that had eaten her alive, but she was trying to put it well into her past. She was doing a great job of this until she met Derek Myers. Derek was the new pastor in town but even more than that, someone who showed interest in her causing her past to come racing to the front of her mind. She really liked Derek but didn't know how someone with her past could become involved with the new local church pastor. He wasn't the pastor of just any local church, but the one she attended and sang in. Rina had a home business that enabled her to reach out to others and be a blessing to them by offering them her jewelry pieces that were one of a kind. Always listening to the voice of God as He led her to whom a particular piece would belong to, she was blessed and encouraged. However, she struggled when a friend of hers said that a piece made in the shape of a crown was for her because she deserved to wear a crown as a child of God. Rina struggled with this high honor and only after much soul-searching was she able to understand that God's best for her was what He truly desired.
Author Delia Latham creates an outstanding piece of work in Bling for the King as she gives the reader moments of love, pain, excitement, ministry, soul-searching examination and so much more. This book is a page-turner and one that I had difficulty putting down. I truly enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end and I would love a sequel to this great piece of work.
