Jellies, Jams, and Bodies (Jellies, Jams, and Weddings Mystery Series Volume 1) by Donna Walo Clancy is a sleuthing mystery. Tabitha Moon lives in Whipper Will Junction, a tiny Maine coastal town. It has everything – beaches, mountains, and shops all in one place and the tourist season is good. Whipper Will Junction has always been a safe and quiet place to live. No murders for more than 40 years, but now there are bodies showing up everywhere. The town Elder, Richard Wells, has gone missing and the town is in upheaval. Tabitha is about to open her new shop, Jellies, Jams and Weddings, and finds herself in the middle of the biggest mystery she has ever known. Together with Greg and Jenny, she works to find out who the murderer is and find Mr. Wells before time runs out, but can Whipper Will Junction ever again be the safe place it once was?
Jellies, Jams, and Bodies by Donna Walo Clancy is a cracking start to a brand new series. This is a whirlwind of a story, with so many crazy characters all in one place that you will find it hard to stop and breathe. This book has a great storyline and the plot is one that will drag you in and hang onto you for grim life until it’s all over. There are a few twists and turns in the plot, and plenty of action to keep a reader hooked onto every last word. The characters are amazing, so different - a real eclectic mix that you wouldn’t expect to find all in one place, but with this story it really works. This is a fantastic debut, one that will suit anyone who loves a good mystery and a great story. Really looking forward to the next one.
