I grew up in a small country town with plenty of time to express my creativity. This was fueled with a large amount of time spent traveling to different areas of the world, coming in contact with many different personalities and cultures.
The last eight years has been spent running a small business with my husband and raising three young boys and writing in any spare time.
After finishing my first book, it came to light just how much I love writing and I now write a great deal more. My boys are growing up, approaching the teenage years quickly, allowing me more time to write and asking for the next book.

Jayden and the Mysterious Mountain tells the unusual story of the rise of a young boy. Jayden starts out as a terrified, lonely teen who is forced to live on the streets because it’s a lot less painful than living with family. While society turns its back and hurries away at the sight of hunger and neglect, Avando reaches down to rescue as many homeless teens as he can. At first it seems impossible that a wealthy man would make it his mission to seek out and help such teens as these and the young boy suspects that something must be terribly wrong with this adult. But Avando seems to be driven by grief over the loss of his own loved ones. Once under his protective wing, the rescued children discover how each of their stories are simply a part of their true potential. As Jayden becomes involved in a series of adventures, he discovers the value of loyalty and learns that sometimes bad habits are hard to break.
Katrina Cope has the gift of drawing you into the plot. She paints vivid pictures that one can easily imagine and with which it’s possible to identify. The first few pages of the story guarantee that the reader will not lose interest and will read all the way to the end. The dialogue between the characters is believable and relevant as well as true to each person’s origins and personality. The story takes a number of unexpected twists and turns that keep the reader involved and interested in the outcome. Katrina Cope is a great writer who knows how to use words to entertain readers of all ages.
