Charles Rawlings knows relationships. He knows that they are complicated, that men and women tend to think differently, and that having a relationship with one person is probably one of the hardest things to successfully do in this world. In It Really Is That Complicated, we join Charles on a crazy ride of relationship redemption, including the horrors of marriage and eroticism in the battle of the sexes. The book details the pitfalls and "weaknesses" of both of the sexes equally, and in doing so really captures the nature of human relationship interactions.
The formatting was exceptional. The chapter headings and detail work was very carefully and beautifully done which helps to capture the precise and deeply penetrating look into the heart of relationships that It Really Is That Complicated embodies. While the book deals with pretty serious and complicated topics, there was always this reflection of dark and witty humor lacing the text so that you never felt like the subject was too heavy or that you were reading a text book. Charles Rawlings takes us through the crazy ride of ups and downs that exists in the complexities of men and women's minds, all while encouraging us to take the plunge, to live life, and experience relationships for ourselves. I got a real kick out of the book, because while the realities of men's minds and the craziness of relationships terrified me, it was a good look into a true idea of romance and relationships in this day and age.
