An extinction-level apocalyptic event that could destroy all life in the galaxy is inevitable unless Lady Silver gets to a planet called Centralis on time and uses her exceptional magic to heal the breach in the dimensional barrier. As she journeys on a ship to heal the breach, she experiences some romantic sparks with the admiral of the Imperial military, Devon Bastion. Meanwhile, Omhara carries out his evil plan for godlike power and control. Will Lady Silver make the necessary sacrifice to save the world from extinction and Omhara or allow her feelings to get in the way? Into the Well, Book 2 of the Warlock Chronicles by Bobbie R Byrd takes readers through a riveting and suspenseful plot about saving the world from complete destruction and the evil plans of a power-hungry villain.
Even as an intricate story filled with several fragmented developments, Into the Well was a book that had me engrossed right from the start with its clear and well-connected plot. Bobbie R Byrd kept me strapped in and wide-eyed with excitement for a roller-coaster experience that involved a space battle with formidable aliens and spine-chilling beasts, a risky game played with blasters and lasers, powerful magic linked to creation itself, innovative and useful technology, and a tumultuous and rewarding love story. The language is captivating, poetic, and entrancing in some crucial places as it elevated me to a beautiful realm of imagination while I pictured the "purple skies, pink oceans, creatures of unimaginable beauty and unspeakable horror." The sci-fi/fantasy world should watch out for Bobbie R Byrd because they just raised the bar with this masterpiece!
