Indian Summer by Nina Kedar is a poetic gem. It focuses on the sun and the many relationships that are based on life's journeys. I absolutely love the poem " Anticipation." I think that we can all relate to the anticipation of meeting with those dear to us. The days seem so long when you find yourself alone. The poem "Sun Circle" is warm and bright like an Indian Summer day. It is amazing how the sun shapes our lives. A sunny day can change your mood and bring smiles to young and old. "The Journey" is an absolutely intriguing poem. Life is a journey and it can make you laugh or cry. It does not matter the direction that you are traveling; the journey makes the moments worthwhile.
Indian Summer by Nina Kedar is an artistically moving book. As I read through the book, it took me on a journey through the heart of the author. Ms. Kedar has such a beautifully poetic heart. It is hard to tell a story using poetry, but Ms. Kedar does this very well. This book was a bright spot in my day. It is filled with poetic grace from start to finish. I encourage you to pull up a seat in a comfortable spot and take in this breath of fresh air. I have experienced many 'Indian Summers' in my Mid-Western home. I can tell you for a fact that the title Indian Summer fits this book of poetry very well.
