The simplest things are likely to touch readers' hearts and this is just what happens with In His Image by Latanya Redding. In this short and delightful collection of poems, Redding invites us to entrust ourselves to Our Lord through the grace and sincere emotion of her verses. With an original use of both the page layout and fonts, Redding contributes to making her message unique. Moreover, many wonderful images of nature are intertwined with the poems to put readers in a mood of gratitude.
In His Image is not a long book, but its words will resonate with readers. Latanya Redding wrote the poems in a way that gives you the impression you are reading song lyrics. Musicality is only one of the qualities of In His Image, but it is the first that you notice, even if you do not read the poems aloud. What I liked the most, however, is the friendly and direct way Redding conveys her message. Her poems are not complex and difficult to understand and do not include abstract images. On the contrary, they aim at making you understand the subject immediately and invite you to meditate on it with the intent to make you live a happier life. Lastly, I have to praise the photographs, which make the book even more beautiful. I must say that In His Image is a collection that put me in a good mood, so I recommend it to anyone looking for hope and joy.
