Immortal Whispers is a brightening poetry collection written by the heartful author Nina Khajuria. There are phenomenal takeaways to be chewed over for such a bite-sized book, with forty-nine pages containing twenty substantial poems. Khajuria touches on a myriad of topics such as love, faith, humanity, and most noticeable of all, nature. The writing style has a soothing and melodic flow, with the general theme being mindfulness. Although it doesn't follow any particular rhyme scheme, there are a great number of open verse couplets and quatrains, which just goes to indicate Khajuria's free-thinking essence. And boy, does this book radiate essence!
As a lover of poetry and anything spiritual, I was intrigued by the title, and Immortal Whispers certainly did not disappoint! I deeply adored this book with its ringing wisdom and melodies of integrity. Far from drab, this luminous poetry collection highlights the glamor of Mother Earth and the contrast of dualism. I took from the piece "Birds In Motion," an ingeniously written message about pollution, but more importantly, for humanity to treat nature with better respect. Khajuria empathically writes, "Make a healthy world! / For love and harmony, / for land, water, sky and mountains." And I believe one of the central insights she attempts to instill in the reader is that any damage done to the world is essentially damage done to ourselves, for everything in the universe is interconnected. "Dive Deep" & "Walking Fool" amplify the worthwhile message by emphasizing the importance of awareness. In Khajuria's own words, "Wisdom shines the brightest within the depths of darkness. / Remember the divine with every step, / in every hour." Down-to-earth and stellar, I consider Immortal Whispers a transcendent book that all readers can't pass up!
