Out of the two of her friends, it was easier to like the romantic Oliver and hate the cynical Edie. However, with every dubious text from James, I could not help but wish for Edie to grab her superwoman cape and save Alexis from doing further destruction. Alas! Yes, it's a memoir, but it reads like fab fiction, even when it feels soul-crushing. “I’ve given you everything I have, James, my heart, my time, my love, my finances.” Alexis is in a complete nosedive, a victim with a real story to tell that needs to be read—particularly as it took some serious bravery to write.

She doesn’t have the time to go out and find love though, so she does what any sane person would do: online dating. Fate brings James and Alexis together and soon they realize that finding your life partner online is really not a bad thing.

I simply couldn’t put this book down because I loved it so much. This was such a fun, light and entertaining story to read. Alexis and James are the perfect match; they both have their flaws and they understand that. They allow the other person to grow, to show them what they want and to take their relationship from there. The narrative itself was amazing; the author allowed the story to continue at its own pace and let it have its moments. The characters were fully developed, they were given room to explore and the pace was just perfect for them to develop their relationship. This was such a refreshing novel to read!
