I Didn't Know My Own Strength: How My Faith Moved My Mountains by Sheniqua Johnson RN is a great book, inspiring and motivating, a book that is designed to help readers reconnect with the power of their faith and be able to reach deeper levels of personal transformation, growth, and service to others. At a time when most of us are buffeted by messages from all sides, and when the world subtly proposes its models to us, telling us what we cannot do or be, this reassuring voice empowers readers to take the lead on their lives, to embrace their passion, and to courageously reach out and claim their gifts.
Faith could be defined as believing in something that we can’t even see, but the author of this book gives that definition a fresh interpretation by making readers believe in what they make to happen, by placing their trust in the loving kindness of the creator. In the introductory lines she writes: “Until one day I realized there was one consistent being in my life that always seemed to show up as a ray of hope. My strength in God began to grow even in moments of defeat and despair.” It is interesting that the author could find strength mostly in moments when she felt defeated. In this book, readers will find the keys to unlock the immense wealth they carry within them.
This is a book that shows the power of faith in one woman’s life, a book that offers a proven path to success and fulfillment. Instead of coming across as preachy, Sheniqua Johnson RN weaves her message into stories, offering words of insight and wisdom to readers, and touching them through stories that allow her to connect directly with readers. I Didn't Know My Own Strength: How My Faith Moved My Mountains is a gift to receive with gratitude, to savor and share. I highly recommend this book as a tool for spiritual growth and personal transformation.
