I Am Sun is an illustrated children's book written by Amy S. Holden. The Sun shines bright, each and every day, bringing joy and light into the world. When it wakes, the Sun brings love, happiness, and cheer into our days, making them bright and colorful in every way. The Sun shines all around the world, hugging one person at a time so that they may know how important each day and each breath is that people take. Without sunshine, our lives would be a dreary place to be. I Am Sun reminds us that waking up to the day is something that we should never take for granted.
I love the absolute simplicity of the craftsmanship and message in I Am Sun. Amy S. Holden's tale conveys a message that is not often pondered as we always seem to take the sun for granted. Yet no matter who you are or where you live, you will always be touched by the warming rays of the Sun. Children will see the Sun on a whole new level of importance and know not to take each day for granted. If the Sun can rise each day, regardless of how dire and murky our lives become, then we can all smile and remember that if the Sun can do it, so can we. I would recommend I Am Sun to young readers aged four to eight years of age, and I believe it would be a great addition to any home library for curious hands to become curious minds about the world in which we live.
