Humor and Witticisms 101 Plus is an enormous collection of puns, one-liners, and humorous expressions compiled and created by author Alex Gall. Intended to be a highly amusing book that covers many different topics and subject areas, this compendium is a dream read for newbie comedians, dad joke maestros, and those who simply need to sit down and have a laugh once in a while. The contents system is in alphabetical order by subject matter, which means that whatever type of joke you’re looking for, you’ll find a section with short, sharp laughs from Alcohol and Art right through to Writing, Youth, and Zombies.
Author Alex Gall has crafted the kind of book that belongs on everyone’s coffee table for those essential moments when the room needs a pick me up. As well as the lists of puns and one-liners, there are a few sections with longer stories where the author really gets to show narrative skill and authentic voice. These moments are sharply penned with a good idea of how to create comic timing in grammar and punctuation so that they still give a great punchline on the page. Certainly, this is a unique type of book and many of the shorter, snappier lines really stick with you for their concise wit and are ready to pull out at any occasion and make others chuckle. Overall, I would certainly recommend Humor and Witticisms 101 Plus for comedy fans, joke hoarders, and generally, any reader seeking a good honest laugh at the end of the day.
