How To Protect Your Neighborhood From Circus Werewolves (Slug Pie Story #4) by Mick Bogerman is an exciting children's science-fiction adventure story. It is spring break for Beachwood Middle School. Mick and his brother, Finley, are looking forward to going to the circus with their Uncle George. PJ, Neill, Booger-Face, Brendan, and Cooper are all going to meet them at the circus. This year Mick has devised a scheme to get into the adult section. But Uncle George can't make it for a few days, and the boys have to go without him. When Mick does find a way into the adult tent, he discovers something that he never expected. The young rogues discover and rescue a kidnapped boy, not realizing the consequences of their actions. Mick's impetuous trip into the off-limits tent releases werewolves into the town. The boys look to Mick to get them out of danger and, in his attempt to save his friends, a shocking secret is revealed. It changes everything in Mick's plan of action, and now he has to improvise a new strategy. What are they going to do? How are they going to get rid of the werewolves without getting bitten or eaten themselves?
