In his book How to Overcome Social Anxiety: Proven Strategies to Get Rid of Social Anxiety and Take Control of Your Social Life, Gabriel Angelo talks about a topic that is a problem for more people than one might expect: socialising with other people, or simply being surrounded by other people. The chapters in this relatively short book tell you what social anxiety is, how you can be sure whether you suffer from a case of social anxiety (even if it is just a minor one), and what steps you could and should take if you would like to live a life in which encounters with other people don't turn you into a nervous mess.
How to Overcome Social Anxiety: Proven Strategies to Get Rid of Social Anxiety and Take Control of Your Social Life by Gabriel Angelo is a good starting point if you feel that social anxiety might be your problem. Do you often feel nervous before meeting other people? Do you always wonder which things could go wrong during those meetings? Are you worried that people will not like you, or are constantly judging you? Then this book can help you to get a better idea about what you are actually going through. It is easy to read, and written in a friendly manner. Many other self-help books have authors that talk down to their readers, and make them feel like all they are doing is wrong. That's not the case here. You feel that the author truly wants to help the reader and walks by the reader's side. As someone who did suffer from serious social anxiety in the past (and still suffers from minor social anxiety), I found this book quite good, and can definitely see that the strategies in the book are helpful for people who never worked on their anxiety problems before.
