God created each of us to be unique individuals with unique talents. He has a master plan for our lives, but he also created us with freewill. We unlike any of his other creations; we make decisions for ourselves. Along with those decisions come consequences. “You get to choose if you will be a gift to the world or a liability.”
One of the most profound statements in How to Make Life Work is “God is passionately interested in every aspect of your life.” The Creator wants a personal relationship with you. It is hard to review How to Make Life Work without quoting, quoting, quoting. Michelle McKinney Hammond offers readers real tools to give purpose to their lives. She offers the four elements of a full life: wisdom, attitude, habits, and character. She continues on to discuss how to utilize the elements. Once a Godly life is assembled, it takes maintenance in the form of prayer, diet, rest, self-control, and love. There are many books proclaiming to assist the reader in finding their purpose, talents, etc. However, few are more than feel good manuals. How to Make Life Work is written in a simple easy-to-understand manner. Hammond offers wisdom to her readers.
