Her Lying Eyes has it all; romance, mystery, murder, twists, turns, good guys, bad guys and the action never stops. Jamie is a journalist with a huge story to break, one that has the potential to destroy a company and the rich family who own it as she discovers more and more information. Garrett Reynolds is Jamie's long time friend, and also the son of the wealthy and very influential company owner that she is investigating. Garrett wants nothing more than to take over the company from his father, who wants Garrett to marry well and not the woman he truly loves. Garrett proposes to Jamie, they have a beautiful wedding and attempt to have a baby, something they both want, but for very different reasons.
Life seems to be wonderful, but very quickly turns awful for the young married couple. Brennan soon offers Jamie the love she has always been looking for and Garrett reunites with his true love. As slowly they put life back together with new loves, their worlds are shattered overnight. There is murder, lies and deceit and Jamie is forced to run for her life. Garrett will find out secrets and nothing will ever be the same.
I found Her Lying Eyes to be a fantastic read. Twists, turns and surprises fill the pages and left me on the edge of my chair, unable to stop reading. Susan Mills Wilson included all of the ingredients to make this an amazing story with an ending that I never saw coming. The characters were well defined and quickly became people I cared about, as if they were real friends. I highly recommend this book to all fans of mystery, suspense, romance and just good storytelling.
