Help Wanted by Barbara Valentin presents Claire Mendez and her husband Paul, a couple experiencing what most career couples experience; downsizing, losing your job at the most inopportune time, while at the same time family obligations are revving up, and then of course maintaining a relationship that can stand up against the trials and tribulations of a bad economy. They struggle with not only paying the monthly bills, but also wanting to do something fulfilling. They are tired of doing a job because they have to and want to do something that is enjoyable and get paid for it. Claire, Paul and their four boys, the Mendez family, is one representation of the American family, how they find fulfillment, and how they grow in their relationships with each other, and how trials can make you stronger as a person and in your relationships.

Fun and laughter, laughter through tears, Help Wanted shows us that even the most trivial day to day machinations can hold a magic that can work wonders in fixing a sticky situation. The Mendez family find themselves in crazy situations, sometimes of their own making, that make you laugh and exclaim out loud and think to yourself, “I have seen this before,” or even “I have been here before.” You become so involved in the story that you continue reading, wondering how they will resolve their situations as if you are reading about someone in your own family.
