He Kan't Kill Your Future is the story of Sharquent Webster and her life growing up on the streets of Los Angeles. It took her hitting rock bottom to realize that God indeed had a plan for her life.

At the age of six or seven, Sharquent's life changed forever when her father decided to leave her mother for another woman. Things were never the same again. Her mother couldn't deal with her father leaving or the responsibility of taking care of ten children, so her mind went away and never came back. She started exhibiting odd behavior, such as dumpster diving, bringing the rotten food home, and forcing the children to eat it. Sharquent and her sisters were often molested and abused by an older brother; and when the author could take no more of the abuse, she told her mother hoping she would fix it. Instead, her mother did nothing.

The author paints a very vivid picture of her childhood, and what she did to survive. She dropped out of school at an early age, started running with druggies, and soon became addicted herself. She did whatever she had to do to support her drug habits, and eventually had two children, losing custody of both. She finally wound up at a Christian outreach center, where with the help of God, her life finally started to change.

This book grabs your heart and doesn't let go. On more than one occasion I found my heart breaking for the children. I am certain that writing this story was difficult for the author, and I commend her for sharing her story. It takes reading how far down she was to see just how far God lifted her up. This inspirational story should be read by anyone and everyone. While it is often difficult to read about the abuse that the author went through, her message easily reminds the reader that no matter how far down our life spirals, if we choose God, things can get better.
