Grave Mistakes by J M Samland is 'A Necromantic Adventure' for young adults. Gabriela is pretty naïve, and when she knocks the Marquis of Melodis down the stairs and kills him on her first time in the city, she has to bring her skills to the forefront. Gabriela is a necromancer, and she promises his ghost that she – or her mother – can fix this. Gabriela and Lord Sebastion, her knight protectorate, set off on a hilarious journey through Deadvale and Crack to get to her home in time. Queen Venica Marwol, Gabriela’s mother, agrees to help her resurrect the marquis, but she doesn’t expect her past to come back to haunt her. Feeling her magic is about to fail her, Gabriela is running out of time and must escape a magic researcher and Commander Valoria Ravell, whose job is to retrieve the body, stopping Gabriela from resurrecting the marquis. Can she succeed, or will it all fall apart at the last hurdle?
