Grandmother and The Bird Nest: Good Night & Bedtime Children’s Story E-book Collection by Uncle Amos is a fun story to share with children at bedtime or anytime of the day! Grandmother has a new hairdo and it is stylish and the queen of all hairstyles; unfortunately, not everything feels the same way as Grandmother. Grandmother’s hairdo is causing problems everywhere that she and her grandchildren are going as the hairdo is getting in the way and is disruptive in various places around town. However, after a bird takes up residence in Grandmother’s hair, things seem to change and maybe Grandmother’s hair is doing some good now. As they spend the day together, this hair is getting in the way, but also bringing some fame to Grandmother.
I really enjoyed reading Uncle Amos' Grandmother and The Bird Nest with my children as it was a fun story to read and one that is still talked about days later! This is a book that will have the reader laughing and thinking about spending time as grandparent and grandchild. However, it is also a book that illustrates the importance of being true to one’s self and a reminder that negative things can turn into positive things. This is an enjoyable story that is also enhanced by great illustrations that go along perfectly with the text. Children will love looking at the illustrations as well. This is an enjoyable book and one that will be read over and over!
