God’s Light: A Forensic Psychiatric Physician's Hypnotic Time Regression Experience of Creation From God's Light is an audio-book narrated by the author, Dr. Rick Scarnati. The author starts the first chapter by providing his excellent credentials and experiences as a Forensic Psychiatrist from high school through graduate school. He then discusses three sections on poetry relating to the architecture of the brain as the brain relates to “suggestibility” during hypnosis. The author elaborates on three messages at the beginning of the book as he interprets the title “God’s Light.”
There is an interesting chapter where the author talks about his encounter with aliens where he lost time and how he used his skills to recover the lost time. In most of the chapters, the author spends lots of time explaining and defining the different workings of the brain as well as case studies to validate his hypothesis. The conclusion summarizes the meaning of the book’s title as it relates to society and goal setting.
Dr. Scarnati clearly has impressive credentials for his profession, has achieved many awards, and is a member of many professional organizations. I thought the book was a bit too long for an audio-book. This book probably would generate interesting discussions and debates as an adjunct text in a classroom setting for a course in Basic Forensic Psychiatry. Dr. Scarnati sings the song “Amazing Grace” at the end of his book. Great job on the cover design. Love the color burst!
