Author Kathy M. Walters wrote an inspirational collection of poems, songs, and stories in her book entitled From Pain To Praise. She takes the reader along various journeys that will share both the pain that an individual may encounter, as well as showing how they can overcome the pain found within their lives. While praise should be a natural response following the journey of pain, there is also the opportunity to praise before the pain is removed. Our praise to God mustn't be based upon whether we are pain-free or not; rather we must press through the various forms of pain that we encounter with our praise.
Author Walters encourages the reader not to give up and become discouraged, but rather to make lemonade out of the lemons that life throws our way. She also stretches the reader to remember the person next to us that might be experiencing difficulties within their life. Our timely words of encouragement and support could be like a life preserver thrown to them out in the open waters of the ocean. Part 6, "Pillars of Positivity," presented some very valuable information and is probably the most enlightening part of the entire book. There are also scriptures presented to help the reader press through their pain and difficulty, drawing strength from God's eternal Word. There is also a plan of action for the reader, enabling them to be an 'overcomer' and not allow their present situation to control them and stagnate their present as well as their future.
