Friends in the Garden #1: Do Art Your Way by Denise Bossarte is a creative venture by the artist who has come up with a unique idea to create books of copyright free images that SoulCollage®, mixed media, and collage artists could use without infringing copyright. The images in this series are of the insects and creatures you see in the garden regularly on flowers; bees, butterflies, dragonflies, beetles, bumblebees, and other insects which the author calls 'friends in the garden.' The pictures are aesthetically shot and highlight the author's creative eye and love for photography.
The 30 individual photographs in the book are spaced in a way that they can be cut out without damaging any other picture in the book. The thought of having an individual page for each photograph is very clever. The pictures are clear and colorful and the author does an excellent job in capturing life in the garden and its radiance. Her pictures will also encourage you to become observant while walking in the garden and to notice the insects and creatures that you usually will not look at. The author's idea of bringing out a book for this purpose is thoughtful. The pictures have an amazing life to them and the clarity and angles make them tangible. This is definitely a good book for all those who work in digital art and who are looking out for images that are free from copyright and can be downloaded without any complications.
