But Franzie is lonely because he’s the only pig on his farm. He goes to bed by himself every night and spends his days playing by himself. One day, he decides to change things, and he goes in search of a friend he can snuggle up with. Join Franzie on his adventure across the farm. Will he find someone to bond with?
Franzie the Pig From 6 Pumpernickel Way by B L Robinson and Amanda Dowell is a wonderfully illustrated children’s story, and the pictures are perfect for enabling young readers to join Franzie on his adventure. While it can be read whenever children want to hear it, it’s the ideal bedtime story as it’s all about Franzie trying to find someone to snuggle up with at night. This is about never giving up until you reach your goals, no matter what happens. It’s also about showing empathy for others and being there for them when they need you. Children can learn a great deal from this book but, most of all, they can enjoy a fun, cute story about a lovely little blue-eyed pig that needs a friend with pictures that bring the tale to life. This is well-written for its audience, simple and to the point, and will make a great addition to every child’s must-read pile of books.
