Unforeseen events have left her without a horse and now with the king's property missing, she sets forth on an adventure. She has no choice except to embark on a journey of survival that will draw her toward unexpected forces. Thorn steps into a realm of wonder that comes to life around her, set against the rise and fall of kingdoms.
The specific font choice creates an immediate aesthetic that takes you into an epic world. The cursive style evokes the feeling of reading a letter or diary entry which Mona R. Semerau uses to create a unique visual that delivers a more historical tone. A playfulness to the writing is done with select words weaving away from the general prose with varying sizes creating a flowing effect across the page. The backdrop of Thorn's adventure is a historical setting that weaves elements of riddles, tavern songs, and dialogue in a way that reflects the visual layout.
Poetic prose matches the style and the tone draws you into another time with beauty found in every little detail.
