The author takes readers on a rollicking ride from her earliest memories, sharing the unique experiences of one of the best coaches in football in the country and a football tradition that is linked to Pennsylvania. The story is founded on love and readers are introduced to a large family. The narrator is the fifth of nine children in the family. The Algeos of Lansdale are part of a big Irish clan and it is interesting to discover the part they played in the sports program. The action is intense and hilarious; readers will enjoy the dynamics in this family, the sporting adventures, the excitement of the wins, the effervescence of the championships, and a lot, lot more.
This is a family story that is focused, exploring themes of family dynamics and relationships, a football culture that has been at the center of life in a community, love, hope and what it takes to make dreams come true, and the power of passion.
