Deuce Winters and his very pregnant wife are working at the 4H food stand at the Carriveau Fair. Even though the weather is so desperately hot, everything seemed to be going well. That is, until Deuce opens the freezer and there is the groundsman, George Spellman, slumped on the floor of the walk-in freezer. Despite being a private investigator, Deuce faithfully promises his wife that he will not get involved with the murder case, but he soon finds out that he cannot keep that promise to her. Deuce's life turns interesting as he does his part, plays stay-at-home dad for his family, and nervously awaits the birth of his child that will be happen any day now. How on earth will Deuce juggle his chores around in order to do everything he has on his plate?
Wow, this is my first stay-at-home-dad's mystery and I love it. The story was so intense that I didn't want to stop reading. Jeffrey Allen sure knows how to write an intriguing story with many twists and turns and a lot of excitement going on throughout the book. He makes the story fun to read, and the humor will give readers quite a few laughs. Father Knows Death will have all of the mystery lovers rushing to get a copy of this newest edition to this series. I know you will laugh and enjoy this story as much as I did!
