Faery Tales of the Future by Kate Phyre is a most exciting and unusual set of short stories about the future. The author has written the most delightful Faery tales using man's own quirks to build these stories. Phyre uses the earth as it will be in the future after man has fought his wars and practically destroyed the planet, to building worlds that float and spin and are in orbit. At the same time, they leave earth alone to regenerate itself and rebuild itself without humans to keep destroying it.
The characters in the stories are based on nature, prophecies, greed, curiosity, ancient worlds, humans, and the world around us. Kate Phyre has taken the imbalances in society that we find today and turned them into these stories. The Faery Tales – Arclight, The Last Ancestor, Choice’s Fate, The Sunday People, and Light in the Water - are but just a few of the titles that await the reader’s curiosity.
The reader will start with a skepticism that is expected but will find that once the first tale is told, interest will draw them to find out what other stories there are about this strange world we live in. The author has written a page-turning read in Faery Tales of the Future that will keep the reader coming back for more, especially the beautiful descriptions that appear once humans have finished their destruction. Thank you for a delightful read, I really enjoyed it. The book was a pleasure to read.
