This has always been her dream. Now Ian, the love of her life, has to fit into that vision. Or does she have to abandon all her dreams to fit into his? Back in London where Ian runs the family business, Alex is adjusting to a new way of life where she hardly sees him. The cracks start showing in their relationship and Alex decides to go home to Cole’s Church, Texas. There she faces a past she buried and moved away from. Is this the beginning of the end for them?
HK Jacobs softly takes your hand, leading you to the edge of a river in Ever Wilde. Below you is a book so descriptive in scenery and emotion, you willingly dive in. Here all of your senses are saturated with words so evocative that you feel you are there beside the characters. You taste, smell, see and hear everything that is displayed. Written in the third person narrative, you have exclusive insight into the thoughts and emotions of some of the characters. Even though this book has content with sexual situations, these scenes are done with grace and passion. The main character is grounded and aware of her surroundings in the most acute sense. Even though this story is more focused on a mature audience, the innocence of dreams is prevalent.
