Endow: A Blood Inheritance Novel is a work of fiction in the fantasy, action and adventure sub-genres, and was penned by author M. Ainihi. The third work in the Blood Inheritance quartet of novels, the work is written for young adult audiences and up as we follow our three protagonists through the next stage of their epic adventure. After the events of Lost, Amanda puts Emily into a greater position of leadership to force her to unlock her warrior side, but a test of limits may also force Amanda to unlock the secrets lying deep within her too. Meanwhile, Kiami discovers more about her inherited powers, and the truths she must face are far from what she really wants to acknowledge.
Author M. Ainihi continues a truly epic series with a central ring of strong characters who are once again put to even tougher tests to discover their true natures and save the magical realms from total collapse. One of the strongest features of the book for me was the commitment to character, which really makes you stop in your tracks and examine these three distinct and magnificent heroes. The emotional quality of the work and the self-questioning that occurs helps us to connect deeply to these protagonists, so when that is combined with the descriptive action scenes, immersive fantasy world and its many dangers, it makes for some real edge-of-your-seat reading. Overall, I would certainly recommend Endow: A Blood Inheritance Novel to fans of the existing series, and for new readers intrigued by a strong, female-led fantasy series.
