Elise is a very talented young ballerina. She’s also a unicorn. She loves to dress up in pretty tutus and twirl around and around. But one day at dance class, Elise is worried when her twirling goes out of control and she starts to lose her balance. Her mother encourages Elise to keep trying, to work harder. “Practice makes perfect... that is why we are here... practice, practice and you will have a perfect twirl!” Her mother’s words encouraged Elise to try harder, to practice more. And she did. She didn’t give up. And the result was a beautiful performance by a talented young ballerina – and a unicorn at that.
Elise Leach is a young author with a creative imagination. Her picture book story, Elise the Unicorn Ballerina, will charm many young readers. Accompanied by beautiful and colorful illustrations, the story introduces young readers to the importance of working hard for a goal and never giving up. Sometimes this is difficult to do. When the going gets tough, we often want to give up. But Elise the unicorn ballerina didn’t give up and she twirled her way to a perfect stage performance.
