Don't Give Up On Me by Jodi Artzberger is a faith-based romance thriller. Amanda is left for dead one evening after being called back to work by a co-worker. Ryker has only been back at Otter Bay for a month and never thought his first reunion with Amanda would be seeing her on the brink of death. Keeping her alive is as challenging as telling her why he broke her heart eight years ago and walked away from everything. After the third attempt on her life, Amanda realizes she must trust Ryker with her safety but vows never to entrust him with her heart again. While they work together to find out who wants her dead, Ryker prays she will at least understand why he had to leave. Can he trust God's direction to see him through the mess he made in their lives?
I found Don't Give Up On Me to be a compelling romance novel that unites a thrilling plot with characters that trust God's guidance. Jodi Artzberger does a fabulous job of holding your attention as the story pivots from death threats to opposition from unlikely sources and then to rekindling a relationship. The characters are well-rounded and appealing as they develop into people with heartaches, fears, and love. There were plenty of twists I did not see coming, adding to the allure of the story. I was so engulfed in this novel that I did not want to leave the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed Don't Give Up On Me and am looking forward to the next one from Jodi Artzberger.
