24 year old Dominic, The Earl of Vale was like most young men of wealth at that age, arrogant, selfish, and spoiled. His luck at gambling had turned the wrong way and he was running out of funds. Returning home from the gaming room, one evening he found an injured young man hiding by the steps of his apartment. The young man called himself Jack. Upon closer inspection Dominic discovered Jack was a young lady. She quietly left during the night while Dominic slept.

On a cross country race the horse collapsed and died on the course throwing Dominic to the ground breaking his ribs. His father had enough of this behavior and is sent him to Stovely Hall, where life was much duller. At a ball he was introduced to Miss Sophie Thornton. She seemed familiar.

Dominic is a sweet historical romance. The characters played and interacted well together. This is not a love at first sight romance. The author successfully conveyed the romance in such a manner that readers eagerly turn the pages. Fans of Regency Romance will enjoy Dominic.
