Evil always lurks in the places we cannot see and do not remember to look. Demon Lord Rising by Jason Farrell and Michael de Weever tells such a tale, where evil long forgotten rises once more, and the heroes of old must rally allies in order to defeat their enemies. The Shadow Prince has made an appearance once again after many years and with an army of monsters and dark knights at his beck and call, all seems lost. Our heroes must band together and use the power of the Emerald Star to vanquish evil once and for all.
Demon Lord Rising by Jason Farrell and Michael de Weever is an action-packed fantasy novel reminiscent of Lord of the Rings with a host of characters each hailing from a different race. There is no shortage of intrigue when everything from elves to dwarves and even druids can be found in this amazing book. The authors did a truly magnificent job with the world-building right from the start and throughout. We are taken along on a journey across various lands as we are introduced to each character and their respective backgrounds. I particularly enjoyed Elenari's character and her background. Nari, despite having suffered many tragedies, became a strong and powerful woman who was able to stand beside Kael and help him in times of need. I also really enjoyed seeing their bond and watching their interactions with the other characters in the group. Overall, Demon Lord Rising is a fantastic fantasy novel and has the makings of a bestseller.
