Dear Bob, Dear Betty is the biography of two individuals. Robert(Bob) Llewellen Wright, son of Frank Llewellen Wright and Catherine Wright and Elizabeth(Betty) Bryan Kehler. They met during the Depression years of 1932-33. The couple faced plenty of hardships. Bob lived in Chicago and Betty in Milwaukee their long distance relationship blossomed into a delightful romance that led to their eventual marriage. Though times were hard they managed. The letters throughout the book show how the relationship started from a little flame and grew into a full blaze. The letters show us the true life of Bob and Betty and the love they had for each other.

When I first started reading about the life and history of Bob and Betty I found it a little dull. Once I got into the letters I felt as if I knew them and was part of their life. The letters bring into focus the first part of the book. The footnotes help quite a bit in relating to their history of the both individuals. This is a beautifully written memoir by the daughter of Bob and Betty Wright.
