Daniel is not your ordinary teen.  He can create friends and family with a simple thought.   When he wants them to leave he flicks his hand and they are gone.  The hand movement isn’t necessary but looks cool.  His finger acts as a type of gun although I’m not sure it is bullets he shoots but maybe energy.   Daniel is seeking evil aliens and destroying them.  They are all around us.  There are a few goods ones like Daniel but not many.   Evil alien #5 is into shock, reality tv.  He forces his victims to dance to 70s music before he destroys them.  He broadcasts the scene to other aliens that find it very funny.  But worry not Daniel will save the day.

Daniel X is an exciting, enthralling, sometimes terrifying adventure.  Patterson and Rust mixed just the right amount of humor and action adventure to create a great story.  I enjoy listening to books as I drive but often I will have to rewind because my mind has wondered, not so with Daniel X.  I eagerly listened to everyone and  a few times sat in my car longer than necessary.  Reader, Milo Ventimiglia has the perfect Daniel voice.  I eagerly await the next installment in this series.

A.K.

It sucked me in the pages with just the first chapter. Very fun, though it's sort of predictable at parts.
The action is more spread throughout, Daniel is becoming more one-of-a-kind, since he was a lot like Percy Jackson in the first one.
As I said, predictable, but intriguing. It's not a book I would buy, but a book I would borrow from the library again and again.

This is the second book in the Daniel X series. The first one was The Dangerous Days of Daniel X. It is hard to say that i like this book because i like it but at the same time i dont like it. It is a "way out there" book. A ordinary person wouldnt think of these creatures to put in this book. I'm not saying that James Patterson did a horrible job. He did great! It was just that it wasnt his normal murder crime scene books. Over-all it was a pretty good book.

This book rocks! Now, I know that I need to be a bit more eloquent and insightful but I am so excited about this book that I had to put it in real IE Mommy terms.

This is the first book that I have read in the Daniel X series and I know, without a doubt, it will not be my last.

Daniel X is a teenage Alien Hunter whose main goal is to eliminate "The List" of top Aliens on Terra Ferma (Earth).

Daniel is dynamic, funny, quick witted and intelligent...plus he has an imagination to knock your socks off!

While this book was created for young readers...I found myself cheering Daniel X on and anticipating the ending.

The chapters are short, face paced and full of imagery. It is clear to see that this book was created wtih the young reader in mind. It doesn't go to too deep in details but allows the reader just enough information to "know" the characters and understand their goals and at times, dreams. Daniel X is like so many of the teenagers these days except he is an Alien Hunter. He enjoys dating, kissing, dreaming and driving. Just a typical boy that kicks some Alien butt on a daily basis.

If you have a child that is not a reader...I suggest picking up a copy of Daniel X. You will not have to worry about foul language or graphic descriptions. With many references toiPods, American Idol, Green Day, Mac computers and High School Musical this is definitely a book your teen will enjoy.

I have long been a fan of James Patterson and I am happy to see that he had carried on his love of writing and reading for the next generation. Daniel X: Watch the Skies

Daniel X is getting stronger, but so are the villains on his list. My only complaint was the 251 pages I quickly read thru. 8 hours of excitement and now I'm left to wait for demons and druids, maybe Daniel can imagine a bigger book next time.
