Connecting with Nature: Your Guide to Healing from the Inside Out by Nancy Zick is a wonderfully inspiring book exploring and explaining the spiritual connection to aromatherapy. Though aromatherapy has been around for many years, it isn't always understood, but Zick gifts her reading audience with a primer that you will appreciate as you read, learn, and possibly use. She explains how she uses it to achieve a closer connection with the Creator, as it can elicit moods, visions, and memories. Essential oils are also part of the equation and have become incredibly popular. If you've avoided these approaches to self-exploration or inner health and healing, the author offers you a chance to immerse yourself in the language and benefits.
This author has a pleasant style that is easy to read and is full of insights and good advice, from a spiritual perspective. She focuses on the inward benefits as well as the outward. What I like is that she is willing to be vulnerable and share her own inward journey, and encourages her audience to join in and follow their own inward path leading to the Creator. Zick maintains that healing can be from the inside out, and part of that is allowing nature to help dissolve and expunge the barriers that prevent you from obtaining healing and happiness. She has spent thirty years integrating aromatherapy into her healing journey and is passionate about helping others connect with God. I admire the author's approach to nature and the senses, and her explanations of terms many have trouble understanding, such as energy vibrations, chakras, meditation, mindfulness, authenticity, etc. One part that especially appealed to me in a powerful way was when she spoke of seeing others through Jesus' eyes. If you're looking for a good resource on inner healing, your search is over with Connecting with Nature: Your Guide to Healing from the Inside Out by Nancy Zick.
