Tuula Pere's gorgeous children's picture book, Colin the Crab Falls in Love, is a must-have for all young readers. It follows Colin the Crab on his quest to find the love of his life. Colin the Crab is well known for his craftsmanship and kind heart. He lives alone in the lovely home he built by himself. Colin is very proud of the peacefulness and beauty of his house, yet he wishes he had someone to share it with, another crab by his side. One day, he invites his dear friends to ask for their advice about finding a spouse. However, their ideas aren't that helpful. So, Colin decides to find a spouse his own way. Fortunately for Colin, something extraordinary is about to happen to him. It will change his life and future for the better.

Colin the Crab Falls in Love delivers a lovely and powerful message about being yourself and how you don't have to change to impress others. Tuula Pere's delightful story inspires young readers to embrace their authentic selves, be proud of who they are, help others, ask for help or advice when needed, and do things their own way sometimes. Through stunning, vibrant illustrations by Roksolana Panchyshyn, an unforgettable, kind protagonist, and engaging storytelling, this book about finding love helps readers understand the importance of finding someone who matches their personality and lifestyle. I highly recommend this book as it teaches important lessons such as staying true to yourself and forging your path to happiness.
