Chronicles of The Last Legend: The Last Legend Trilogy by Joshua B Wichterich is a collection of three novels. When Tairren falls in love with Princess Marrisa, he has no idea what the future has in store for him. While Tairren is a common poor boy, Marrisa is a princess destined for something else. Neither Tairren nor Marrisa is expecting things to go to hell, but they do. Everything becomes chaotic on Marrisa’s 16th birthday and nothing will be the same ever again. Now, Marrisa has to face a future she never anticipated and Tairren needs to do whatever it takes to save her. He has to overcome fear, uncharted territories, and enemies that may be more powerful than him. He can do a lot, but he cannot fight his destiny. Is there any way for him to save her and protect their future as well?
There is something to be said about reading a whole trilogy in one go. The story flows so well when you don’t have to wait for the next novel to come out. Tairren’s story and his progress are well-paced; his arc is surprising yet so very satisfying. Marrisa’s story becomes heartbreaking at one point, but even that flows beautifully. The story is cohesive, something that most epic fantasies lack, and it is paced just right to keep the attention of readers. The mystery behind Tairren’s ancestors is handled adeptly; Joshua B Wichterich gives just enough information to make the reader guess and then second guess what happened to their favorite characters. Marrisa, Tairren, Philip, and Natalia all develop and create their own path. Faith plays a very important role in the story and readers slowly realize how significant it is for the characters too. Chronicles of The Last Legend is a fascinating trilogy that I will remember for a long time.
