This spy Sci-Fi adventure has everything to make it a great tale. If you like high tech spying, secret agents and dangerous killers, this is the book for you.
The story begins when an agent, Derek, is getting another face. This means he is done with his assignment and is ready for the next one. This guy has four agents, including a female, that he keeps in touch with, no matter which face they display. The craziness of his life as a spy turns upside down after he and his fellow agent are connected to the mind of an alien.
The alien, Anglo Saxon, is very likeable and befriends the agents. After many conversations, the alien asks for some amenities to pass his time. He has been a prisoner for many years and has never talked to anyone. Now he talks with Derek and his friend. Soon, Anglo reproduces a son and the son, Roswell, is set free to go back to the flying saucer and take the place of his parent, who stays voluntarily in captivity. Roswell is a carbon copy of his parent, Anglo, and was born with all his memories and his intelligence.
Life for the agent and his private acquaintances changes when one of the guys who was connected to the alien goes crazy. The agency believes that the agents may turn against the agency and reveal many of their secrets. The rest of the agents, who have been exposed to Anglo’s mind, are kept under a close watch.
Roswell offers the 3 agents a chance to have the woman’s eggs and the men`s sperm saved for future use in the galaxy . The three of them agree and they get to view the inside of an extraterrestrial vessel for the first time.
Things get even worse and Derek has to put his spy training into action to reassure himself that his fellow friends are still his friends. After many tests to feel safe, he becomes attached to Janet, the female agent. Now she just wants gto be a normal woman. Derek has lost the desire to be on the run as an agent, so they come up with a plan to disappear together. Roswell helps them in an unexpected way.
This was an entertaining tale, though at times it confused me because the time line didn’t flow properly. In one paragraph, Derek is setting up her death, and in the next, with no warning, all the agents have found her body and even know who killed her. The book needs some editing and tidying up so the tale will flow more smoothly. There is unnecessary swearing and some graphic details of chopped body pieces. Late teens and adults will enjoy this book.
