Cacophony by Hollis Thompson is the third book in the Lifecycle Supernatural Thriller series. Ollie Giradenco is involved in an accident on winter’s morning when his car is sideswiped. Chasing the culprit, Ollie discovers the driver is an elderly man in a rage, a man who suddenly drives off the road, killing himself. Why? What caused him to do that? Ollie decides he needs to know but he doesn’t bank on stumbling on silent people with strange powers targeting a single figure. No one can stop them, so the only option is to run. What is going on? Can Ollie get to the bottom of it, or will he be the next victim?
Cacophony by Hollis Thompson is a unique kind of paranormal thriller. I haven’t read the previous two books, but although the author says this could be read as a standalone, I feel it would be better to read all three to gain a better understanding of what is happening. This book grabs you from the first page. It is full of action and plenty of twists and turns that will keep you hanging on as you try to figure out the ending – you won’t. This book has some very different characters in it and is a unique take on the genre. The characters are well-developed and likable and fit the storyline well. The plot thickens with every page you turn, making this one book you won’t be putting down in a hurry. A thrilling story, guaranteed to stay with you long after you finish reading it.
