Buster and Katie: A Tale of a Special Puppy and the Little Girl Who Loved Him tells the heartwarming story of a pair who decided to go against the odds and just love each other. I fell in love with the characters from their first appearance; how could I not? Danielle Gilbride does an excellent job of showing Katie as the epitome of someone willing to give individuals with special needs a chance. I really enjoyed how Buster demonstrated to everyone that, despite his differences, he had worth! This story also shows the reader the author's passion for animals and it effectively achieves her goal. In addition to the heartwarming story, each page has beautiful illustrations that further add to the reading experience. I would recommend this book to both adults and children since it teaches inclusion and resilience; everyone will be moved by this book!
