Love is greater than knowledge. Knowledge doesn't necessarily bring wisdom, but love ensures we make our decisions for the greater good of everyone. P.O. Isen offers this motivational guide to help readers understand the differences between the ways love and fear influence us and society as a whole at large. In Be Fruitful and Multiply, Isen delves into the stories of the Bible and the Indian epics, the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, to show how fear inserts itself into people's lives, and uses these cautionary tales to help readers negate its influence. The book also introduces the concept of Agape love. Agape love means selfless love -- a love that goes beyond personal connections and makes us love God and help others without expecting anything in return.
P.O. Isen delivers an inspirational guide to living that presents love and spirituality as the main aspects of humanity we must pursue for a life of fulfillment. Be Fruitful and Multiply takes a deep dive into the evolution of Christianity throughout the ages, as well as the gradual spiritual evolution of modern human civilizations. The book also offers brief snippets of history and civilizations, summarizing some of its most notable events. The author uses many parables from the scriptures in addition to citing stories of some famous politicians and leaders, especially from South Asia. On the whole, this is a fantastic first volume of what promises to be an excellent spiritual book series. I found it very inspirational, educational, and illuminating. Recommended to readers interested in theology and spiritual books.
