Backpacking My Style: How to See the World on a Budget by Cristina Grau is a fabulous book that will take readers on a fascinating journey with the author to the sixteen countries she visited on a budget without many expenses. As readers go to North America, Asia, the Middle East, the Balkans, and Europe with the author, they are treated to the diverse customs, traditions, culture, people, and food of each place in a way that they will all be encouraged and motivated to pack their bags and travel.
The author's approach to the topic is interesting and she gives details of expenses at the end of each chapter that make it easy for readers to plan their trip. The fun facts shared in many chapters give readers entertaining tidbits about the places. Cristina has handled her travel experiences in a very organized and methodical way, making it easy for readers to decide on how to go about their travel plans if they intend to travel to new destinations. The recap at the end of the book gives an overall idea of the places and countries readers might love to visit after reading about the author's experiences. The pictures shared in the book are good to give readers a few images of the countries visited by the author. The author has also included links to the house-sitting websites which helped her to travel and will come in handy for many travelers who want to see new places without breaking the bank.
