In a wonderful work of inspirational fiction from debut novelist Paul C. Ho, MD, readers will be taken on an interesting and intriguing journey in Art on the Human Heart. Dr. Ho, himself a cardiologist, was inspired by his experience of suffering from a heart attack at the very young age of 39, and used that experience as well as his medical training to write a book with a highly unique and educated viewpoint. Readers will find both useful information as well as a great story and a lot to think about in this book.
I very much enjoyed Art on the Human Heart. Author Paul C. Ho, MD, has done a great job in creating characters and situations that readers will truly be able to relate to, connect with, and care about. If that isn't a hallmark of a great author, I am not sure what is. Dr. Ho's medical expertise certainly shines through in his prose, but it is not so heavy-handed as to overwhelm readers who don't come from similar educational backgrounds. The storyline and characterizations are the true lifeblood of this book, and will have readers hooked from the very start. Readers who are interested in books that will have them thinking, feeling and learning, or simply a great work of fiction from a new voice in the genre should absolutely read Art on the Human Heart. I am so pleased to recommend this book, and I certainly hope that author Paul C. Ho, MD, will continue his work in this vein. I, for one, will be looking for more from this very promising author in the future!
