Anne Frank House Amsterdam by Marko Kassenaar is a terrific guide book for any visitor to the Anne Frank House and Museum. For myself, having been to this historic site, this book enhances the experience. While other guide books give general highlights on this iconic museum, Kassenaar’s guide book is clear and concise. More than that, it gives an informative history of the Frank family, the house itself, daily life for the inhabitants of the “secret annex” as well as what happened to Anne and her family when they were betrayed. The list of contents is very helpful as well.
Anne Frank House Amsterdam by Marko Kassenaar provides practical information such as museum hours, advice on buying tickets, as well as what to expect once you get to Anne Frank House. I have read Anne’s diary and have visited the house itself. Kassenaar’s book will give you a good foundation to appreciate your experience even more deeply. The photos in Anne Frank House Amsterdam complement the information. I rate this book a must-read if you wish to explore the museum or simply want to know more information about Anne Frank. Included in this book is information on other museums in Amsterdam including The Royal Palace and Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum.
